The “Putting on the Ritz” gala whisked us straight back to the Roaring Twenties! The “Speakeasy” was abuzz as the feathered headbands, pearls & sequined gowns glittered in the entry way. At six o’clock, the sound of jazz filled the air as guests made their way downstairs into the community hall - transformed for one night, into the Golden Era of magic & glamour!
The gala brought together old friends and new ones for an unforgettable night of music, dazzling dancers, handcrafted cocktails and elegant canapés. A very special jazz band set the tone as dinner was severed - an elegant sumptuous five-course presentation inspired by the 1925 Maxim’s of Paris menu.
As the night unfolded, the dance floor shimmered and laughter mingled with the melodies of times gone by - a fitting tribute to 100 Years of Creating Community, Living Love, Teaching Truth, Serving Spirit, Practicing Peace and Transforming Lives.
The celebration closed on a heartfelt note as everyone joined together in the final song of the evening “ When You’re Smiling”, filling the hall with warmth, gratitude and the timeless sound of shared happiness.
I am profoundly grateful to Dixie Junius and Drew Raine, design co-chairs, for their creative dedication and to all of the hard working volunteers, who gave their time to help install the decorations. Everyone had a generous fun spirit! Thank you!
