Carol was a member of Unity in California on Athol Avenue for over 35 years. She attended all the required courses to achieve a Licensed Teacher Certificate from that Unity Church. Carol has been a BSN RN primarily in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for 48 years. She retired in the summer of 2020 and moved to Oregon. She had visited Unity of Portland several times before she moved here, and during those visits I felt very welcomed by Rev Lisa and the community.
After Covid, Unity was allowed to reopen and I moved my membership to Unity of Portland. I have been serving on the Board since the end of 2024 and is the Safety Liaison for the board. Carol also serves by singing in the choir and has been serving on the Coffee and Connection Team for both the first and second Sundays for over 2 years. She has also taken on a co-leadership role in the kitchen. It gives her great joy to be able to serve my community.
