She is a retired school psychologist and director of special education as well as numerous federal projects. She has written several children’s picture books and a curriculum for social and emotional learning for early childhood education.
Ms. Mulcahy has also developed a character education curriculum for middle school and high students entitled “Teen Vision”. In each of these roles, she has done many presentations for educators and parents and has been a guest lecturer at universities.
Ms. Mulcahy has always been a strong advocate for children and has initiated and fully supports a growing movement called “Zero Bullies for All Children”. Her stand for children is “That all children experience their hearts as the core and essence of who they are, and to know their own humanity.” When the heart speaks, bullying cannot exist.”
